Record Attendance for Dozer Day 2024

The attendance on Saturday at Post Falls' Dozer Day at Cabelas Stateline broke records.

More than 5000 individuals entered the event on that day, nearly matching the total attendance for the entire weekend in previous years.

Concerns arose about potential low turnout on Sunday because of Spokane's yearly event, Bloomsday, and an unfavorable weather outlook. However, the people of the Pacific Northwest demonstrated their resilience with over 2000 additional attendees on Sunday. What's even more thrilling is that a significant portion of Sunday's tickets were bought at the entrance.

This event remains a prominent feature within the community, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback. Thanks to NUCA's volunteer grant program, several local school districts have benefitted from Dozer Day's positive impacts. For the last 3 years, Post Falls, Rogers, and Mead High School have collaborated to offer exceptional support for this remarkable event. The grant program specifically aids 2 football teams and 2 cheer teams during a challenging period of financial constraints.

In addition to the grant program, Dozer Day and NUCA have furthered their dedication to workforce development by introducing Signing Day. This event is a distinctive and specialized career fair aimed at high school students who are preparing to graduate and have chosen to pursue a career in the skilled trades. The second year of Signing Day experienced substantial expansion compared to its inaugural year and was highly praised by the participating employers.

In 2024, Dozer Day experienced some significant growth, bringing with it a few challenges that we welcomed with open arms. The addition of new equipment and sponsors marked a positive shift for us, illustrating the increasing interest and support we were garnering. Furthermore, the record-breaking attendance figures highlighted the growing popularity of our event and the enthusiasm of our participants. As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to build upon this momentum and find innovative solutions to accommodate the ever-increasing number of participants.

Finally, one of the most satisfying parts of Dozer Day is the opportunity to give back to the community by supporting Communities in Schools in Spokane and The Children's Village in Coeur d' Alene. These programs offer vital assistance to our young people, and NUCA is honored to contribute to this cause as a partner.

We look forward to seeing you all next year!!
