Dozer Day 2025 Supporting Canopy Village, Communities in Schools and new this year KTEC

At NUCA, we are committed to giving back to the community and supporting impactful causes. Dozer Day serves as our main fundraising event, enabling us to pursue this mission. This spring, we had the opportunity to meet with representatives from Children’s Village and Communities in Schools, the two primary charities benefiting from the proceeds of our annual Dozer Day event. Thanks to record attendance, we were also able to introduce a new charitable donation to the Kootenai Technical Education Center (KTEC). With our focus on workforce development, KTEC was a perfect fit, as they offer classes tailored to the trades, which are currently in high demand. We are delighted to announce that we donated over $15,000 to these three organizations from the 2025 Dozer Day proceeds.

Canopy Village: A Safe Haven for Children and Families

Canopy Village acts as a trauma-responsive sanctuary, focused on rebuilding trust and hope for children and families who have faced abuse, neglect, or crises. Their mission is firmly grounded in fostering compassionate communities where every child experiences safety, security, and care within a stable and loving family setting. The contributions from NUCA helps Canopy Village sustain their vital efforts, offering essential support and resources to those requiring assistance.

Communities in Schools: Empowering Students for Success

Communities in Schools is committed to surrounding students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Their mission aligns closely with our values at NUCA, as they work tirelessly to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. Our donation will aid in furthering their mission, helping more students receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally.

Kootenai Technical Education Center: Real Life, Real Skills, Real Futures

KTEC provides high-quality technical and professional training designed to prepare students for real-world success. Led by experienced industry professionals, KTEC programs blend hands-on learning with practical, workplace-ready skills.

Aligned with local, state, and national standards, KTEC emphasizes communication, problem-solving, and professionalism while keeping students connected to their home high schools. Strong industry partnerships offer job shadows, internships, and clinical experiences, and with college credit available in over 90% of programs, KTEC helps students save time and money while building clear pathways to future careers.

All three organizations have expressed their sincere gratitude for the support NUCA has provided through Dozer Day. This annual event not only generates funds for these essential organizations but also unites the community for a weekend filled with fun, education, and engagement. As Dozer Day continues to expand, we are thrilled about the opportunity to boost our donations and broaden our impact.
