NUCA's 2024 Projects Preview was another resounding success, showcasing the remarkable collaboration and innovation within the utility construction sector. The event featured an impressive array of sponsors, each contributing significantly to the overall experience.
Notable sponsors included ACI Northwest, which provided invaluable insights into concrete innovations; Core & Main, known for their expertise in waterworks and utility solutions; Marsh McLennan, a leader in risk management and insurance; Old Republic Surety, which specializes in surety bonds; Vermeer Mountain West, recognized for their high-quality equipment; Western States, a key player in heavy equipment; and White Diamond Concrete, renowned for their exceptional concrete products.

The evening was not just about sponsorship; it was also enriched by a lineup of insightful and engaging presenters from various local government and transit agencies. Representatives from the City of Spokane-Dan Buller, Spokane County-Becky Spangle, Spokane Valley-Erica Amsden & Rob Lochmiller, and Spokane Transit-Dan Wells shared their valuable perspectives on upcoming projects, infrastructure enhancements, and community development initiatives. Their presentations were filled with detailed information about future plans, expected challenges, and opportunities for collaboration, allowing attendees to gain a deeper understanding of the region's development landscape.
Spokane's Communities In Schools representatives also participated in the evening, addressing attendees about the possibility of mentoring their students to spark interest in the construction industry and inform them about the career opportunities available. Communities In Schools offers support to students in local schools who lack support at home and require extra resources. They are also among the recipients of NUCA's Dozer Day donations, which we proudly support.

Networking opportunities abounded throughout the night, as industry professionals gathered to exchange ideas, forge new partnerships, and discuss the latest trends and technologies impacting the construction and utility fields. The atmosphere was vibrant and conducive to meaningful conversations, with participants eager to connect and explore potential collaborations that could drive future projects forward. Overall, the event not only highlighted the impressive array of projects on the horizon but also reinforced the importance of community and cooperation among industry stakeholders in shaping a successful future.
