On October 2nd, NUCA of Eastern WA & North ID participated in a fundraising dinner called Paint It Red with Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers to support Michael Baumgartner's congressional campaign.
Community members gathered at Randy and Maria Leaver's home to show their support for Michael Baumgartner, candidate for the 5th District in Congress. Scot & Stephanie Hattenburg, owners of M&L Construction, along with NUCA Chapter President Rick Oliver from United Rentals Trench Safety, NUCA Executive Director Sheri Nowlan, and Board Member Justin Hauge attended a pre-dinner Roundtable Discussion. During the discussion, Rick Oliver inquired about efforts to repeal the ban on Natural Gas and whether Eastern Washington residents will always have a choice in their utilities. Michael assured that they are making progress in lifting the ban.
Board member Justin Hauge expressed his belief that Michael Baumgartner prioritizes the people's interests and upholds faith, family, and fiscally conservative values. He appreciated Baumgartner's articulate communication skills and expressed confidence in his ability to succeed Cathy McMorris Rodgers' leadership in the future.
Overall, it seems that Mike Baumgartner shares the same values and commitment to bipartisanship as Cathy McMorris Rodgers. The NUCA National PAC, through the Eastern WA & North ID chapter, proudly presented a contribution to support Michael Baumgartner's candidacy, looking forward to him continuing the mission of rebuilding trust and confidence in our representative government, leading as a trust-builder with the hard-working individuals of Eastern Washington.
