This summer, NUCA EWNI member Simco hosted their 2nd Annual Golf Tournament at the Coeur d'Alene Public Golf Course. An impressive total of 24 teams participated and competed on August 16th.
Despite the rain, everyone enjoyed an incredible time on the course during the scramble tournament. Highlights of the day included tee #1, where golfers could make a donation to wear a dress and tee off from the women's tee. Adding to the excitement was the presence of Idaho's top-ranked golfer, 15-year-old Trey Lambert, who showcased his impressive driving skills to the admiration of the more seasoned players.
The tournament's big winners were the Interstate team, with Pat Jennings taking first place and Peck & Peck securing second place, leading the day's event. Meanwhile, Ryder Irving from Coeur d'Alene Paving was humorously dubbed "the losing team," finishing last.
The proceeds from the tournament were designated for NUCA EWNI's Next Generation Workforce Development Fund, which supports progress in the construction industry. Simco contributed a substantial $2500 donation to the Workforce Development Fund. This contribution will assist both present and aspiring construction workers in obtaining the necessary training to progress within the industry.
NUCA EWNI expresses deep gratitude for Simco's dedication to hosting a splendid golf tournament, which will greatly benefit the upcoming generation in our industry. We eagerly anticipate the next Simco Golf Tournament and hope to see you there!
