This year's Annual Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament was aces! With a slightly smaller crowd but larger bids, NUCA successfully raised an impressive amount of funds for the NEXT GENERATION SCHOLARSHIP/WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FUND.

NUCA's Next Generation Scholarship recently had some rebranding done to encompass the workforce development aspect because at the end of the day that is always the goal, to develop the "next generation" in the construction industry. Members, their family and employees all are encouraged to apply for this "scholarship" which covers not just traditional schooling (universities/community colleges) but also trade schools-welding, CDL etc. We encourage everyone to visit our SCHOLARSHIP tab on our website for more details on who is eligible to apply and how you can make a donation.
We are incredibly grateful to our events sponsors, who are always "all in" and we could not put on these fun events without their support. Thank you to our Presidential Level sponsors: ACI Northwest, Marsh McLennan, Vermeer Mountain West and White Diamond. Also, to our Superintendent Level sponsors: Pape Machinery. If you are interested in joining this "royal" group, visit our website https://www.nucaewni.org/sponsorship to sign on.

The Poker tournament is always a hit, and this year was no different...though attendance was more like a "small blind," the players "met the pot" with every bid. "It's for the Kids" turned into the re-buy battle cry, and everyone had a blast going all in!! The "Beer Babes" kept the chips flowing and the drinks covered...these fabulous ladies really bring a touch of class to the event, and we adore having them join us each year!!

This year's "card shark" grand prize winner was none other than Marsh McLennan
guest, Nick Shover from Inland Group! But the excitement didn't stop there—Shane Wendall from Western States snagged 2nd place in the "full house" category, and Rhett Wall Jr, also from Western States, took 3rd place! Earlier in the night, Rhett confidently declared, "I don't want to be the first one out of chips," and he certainly delivered, finishing 3rd from the last! Fantastic job, gentlemen, and a huge thank you for helping to raise money for "the kids"!
We look forward to seeing everyone next year...keep "one eye" on the EVENTS tab of our website to stay on top of all our upcoming events and training classes like February's Indoor Golf Tournament and March's Pop-a-Shot Hoop Shoot Tournament.
THANK YOU SPONSORS!!!
