Dozer Day 2020 Cancellation

It is with great regret that the NUCA Board of Directors and our Dozer Day Executive Committee have decided to officially cancel our 2020 Dozer Day event. We tried to hold on to the hope that we could reschedule the May event to late fall but the current climate with the COVID19 situation has not improved as we had hoped it would. After closely monitoring the state of affairs these unprecedented times have brought us, we have decided it is in the best interest of our local community, as well as all our sponsors, to make this tough decision.

Given that Dozer Day is such an interactive event that requires close contact between our guests and volunteers to have a high quality experience, we feel it is our responsibility to postpone the event this year until we are able to proceed in alignment with the proper hygiene protocols this unique time in our history calls for. Just as promoting safety is NUCA’s top priority as a trade association, our Dozer Day Committee also feels just as strong about adhering to those same safety values.

With that being said, we are viewing this as an opportunity to continue planning for an even bigger and better event in 2021! We will continue to expand our “Career Day” Friday portion of the event to promote the trades to high school students and encourage interest in the construction industry. We welcome any feedback you may have on ideas you would like to see us incorporate into the 2021 event!

Although we are wading through uncertain times, we hope you find solace in knowing that this will not last forever and we will be together again. We can’t wait to celebrate 2021 Dozer Days with you and provide an amazing event for the kids in our community.

On behalf of our entire NUCA board of directions & Dozer Day executive committee, THANK YOU for hanging in there with us!!!
